Clean Up Time!
The garbage truck comes at seven thirty. Can they beat it?
Ten More Minutes, Please.
Star wants to finish her block tower first. Homework can wait… right? Dad doesn’t push—he lets her choose: start now, or ten more minutes, then begin by herself.
When the timer rings, what will Star do?
Listen to the English read-aloud online and read along.
On Wednesday, Star comes home from school and builds a block tower with Mochi the cat. Mom says it’s homework time, but Star wants a little longer—and jokes that Mochi doesn’t want homework either.
When Dad gets home, the house is quiet. He doesn’t scold. He lets Star decide: homework now, or ten more minutes—then she starts by herself when the timer rings. Star chooses: “Ten more minutes, please.”
When time is up, Star starts on her own, moves her task card, and finishes. After Mom checks the work, she places the last block and drops the first paper star into the jar — saving toward a tent of her own and a December trip to watch the Geminids.
