Ten More Minutes, Please.
When the timer rings, what will Star do?
I Like This Part
All week, Star draws her cat and the moon for Grandma. On Moon Festival night, the wind blows it away, and it comes back with a black line. Then Mom asks: “Which part do you like?”
The black line won’t come off. Can Grandma still have it?
Listen to the English read-aloud online and read along.
All week before the Moon Festival, Star draws “my cat and the moon” for Grandma. On festival night, everyone has a rooftop barbecue with Grandma and Grandpa. Star asks everyone: “Is it good?”
Grandpa gives Chen a pomelo hat. Then the wind blows the picture away! Dad looks for his glasses (on his head!), and Grandma saves the picture with the grill tongs—but now there is a black line. Star tries and tries, then hides it.
Mom doesn’t say good or bad. She asks: “Which part do you like?” Star finds the part she likes—her cat. Grandpa sees a road to the moon. At home, Star compares it with last week’s cat: “It’s better than last week’s!” Then the picture goes to Grandma.
