At sports day, Star falls at the turn. At home she says “Nothing!” and hides under her blanket. Then Mochi knocks over the star jar, and everyone looks for stars. With sunny and rainy notes, Star finally says, “I feel sad.” Sad is okay. Saying it helps her take the next step.

It's sports day and the big race. Star runs fast, but at the turn she falls! She gets up and runs to the end. “Star! Good job!” says Chen. At home Mom asks, “What's wrong?” “Nothing!” says Star. Not even bubble tea helps, and the homework card does not move. Star hides under the blanket with Dot: “Little Dot, I fell. In front of everyone.” Mom says at the door, “I'm here, Star. We can talk later. Or not. That's okay too.”

Oh no! Mochi hits the star jar! “They are still yours. Let's count!” says Mom. Everyone looks for stars: ten under the bed, one on Mochi's ear. Star smiles, just a little. But where is number seventeen? On the bottom of Dad's sock! “Oh! I'm a star too!”

Mom brings sunny and rainy notes. “How do you feel today?” Star picks rainy. Then she says, “Mom, I feel sad. I fell.” “Thank you for telling me. Sad is okay. Everyone falls.” Star moves her homework card and does her homework by herself. “Check, please!” One more star: eighteen! Chen says he fell too, when he was six. On Sunday morning Star runs the turn again, and this time she says, “Thank you, Chen!”
